Biblical Proportions

Unplugged

How Much for that little boy?

Boned Jello
AFP – Lebanon's Head Booblah, Hassan Nasrallah delivers a televised speech during a ceremony marking …

CONSIDER THIS - A hot war in the Middle East seems inevitable.  As things stand, I expect the UN  will side with Iran and its client states Syria, Lebanon, and the Palestinians,  against Israel.  Would Obama join with the UN, a body to which he's showed more allegiance to than he has the United States?  Or with Israel, whom he's been undermining since he took office?  If he follows form, US troops under UN command would find themselves  fighting alongside  radical Islam, and  against the Israelis.  In the event Bin-Barry gave that order, what would you expect to happen?

#####
Bin-Barry does not have the cahones to give that order, much as he'd like to, because the danger of a mutiny in the US forces would be too great.
~
#####
Nope.
As Anon. said, too many "Sorry, message garbled in transmission."
I wouldn't put it past him to call for some sort of Abraham Lincoln Brigade (again composed mainly of commies, socialists, anarchists, and suckers), though.
He would probably cancel all military cooperation/funding programs, though.
~
#####
They will do what they are told because they are American soldiers and just because they may despise the person who is their CIC doesn't mean that they won't obey him.

Now if they are ordered to attack Americans then all bets are off. However, ordering them to stand with the UN even against an ally would be tough, but obeyed.
~
#####
Chris is correct in that they (as I was once part of "they" for 20 some odd years) will obey any lawful order given. Having us act as an agent of the UN (and yes, we have done that before in the former Yugoslavia -if memory serves correctly-, and during Korea.) and directly oppose our, up to now, staunchest Allie in the Middle East, would be folly of the greatest order.

Though I would not put it past the current occupant of the oval office to attempt such a thing.

So no, I don't think the majority of the Armed Forces would stand behind such an order.
~
#####
As the prospect of a hot war picks up in the middle east, owing mostly to dithering on the part of the Obama white house, we should probably start now to insure that the conflict is called "Obama's War"

It's possible that the prospect of having a war named after him might seem even worse than having an environmental disaster with your name on it.
~
#####
That ude needs to wear a burqua.
~
#####
This would be a very bad mistake on Obumbles part. And it wouldn't be our fault. Muahahaha!

The rollover Impeach Him is directly related to Obama's utter mismanagement (in the kindest sense) of the middle east,  Obama has from day one worked against Israel and for the Islamos.  This was predictable, and predicted.  Four years ago I wondered when and if Obama would put US troops under UN command  in support of Hamas ....

One more thought.  I'm wondering if  phony Hollywood Jews who largely made Obama possible will beat breasts over Israels plight now?

Oh, and ...

"BOOK BURNERS"

NEW YORK – The retail giant Costco Wholesale has issued an order to remove all copies of Dinesh D’Souza’s bestselling book “America: Imagine the World Without Her” from the shelves of its stores nationwide, WND has confirmed.

The book, in this mid-term election year, is a strong rebuttal of the progressive ideology behind President Obama’s policies, which have been supported by Costco co-founder and director Jim Senegal, a major Democrat donor and a speaker at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that nominated the president. A Washington Post political reporter has noted Obama’s “romance” with the nation’s second-largest retailer.

At Amazon.com, D’Souza’s book, released June 2, is ranked No. 43 overall and is the No. 3 hardcover book in Amazon’s Politics and Government section and No. 1 in the Commentary and Opinion subsection of Politics and Government

RAKE

A few weeks ago I mistakenly reported that my new best television series ever, RAKE, had been discontinued.  Only moments after posting it (but disinclined to correct) I discovered that what was canceled was the American version (which are almost always crap); the original Aussie series is in its 4th season I believe.  I watch on NetFlix, but Amazon just announced it will be showing all the episodes.

The headlined is Aussie  Cleaver Greene, a brilliant but self-destructive, alcoholic and philandering criminal defense barrister. In another life he's Sterling Archer.  Greene holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales. The character is loosely based on Sydney's most colorful barrister and author Charles Waterstreet.. Here are a few quotes to give you a flavor.

"Rake: R vs Murray (#1.1)" (2010)
Cleaver Greene: This economic climate is turning every decent bender in this town into a reptile. First my bookie, now my brothel keeper. 12,000 years I've been coming to this place. You think I would have accrued some frequent fucker points by now.

Cleaver Greene: [after reading out Byron's "She walks in beauty, like the night"] Bugger me, he was good.
Fuzz Greene: Yeah, but what use is it?
Cleaver Greene: What do you mean "What use is it"? It's poetry, you knucklehead. It has only one use, and that's pulling chicks.

"Rake: R vs Lorton (#1.4)" (2010)
Cleaver Greene: You know what my first act will be when I run this country?
Melissa Partridge: Make threesomes compulsory?
Cleaver Greene: Okay... uhhh... my second act will be to abolish five day weather forecasts and publicly execute those who give them.

"Rake: R vs Mohammed (#2.1)" (2012)
Cleaver Greene: You want the truth? Right wing chicks are hot. Much hotter than left wing chicks, and you know why that is? Because right wing chicks are aggressively carnivorous, self reliant Ayn Rand accolytes who understand the value of the moment. They get that sex is something in and of itself beholden to nothing and no-one and as a consequence of that understanding they're less inhibited and therefore hornier. Left wing chicks on the other hand, they're vegans who want a holistic experience. They're all about context. They talk about an orgasm like it's a pet spaniel, and so consequently the moment's ruined and this, Mr Clown, is the real reason why the left has carked it., because the right is constantly procreating while the left is grooming a dead dog.
Clown: My mother was a communist.
Cleaver Greene: Oh so you're adopted?

At any rate I am now running Windows XP and a massive 60GB slow as hell computer that I passed on to MoSup years ago.  But, it keeps me off the streets.  Thank you all who kindly offered solutions, and especially Jimmy who took the bull by the horns, and made hay while the sun shone, so to speak.  Now, back to bashing the Evil Empire.

Rummaging in the attic

(I just found this from 2008)
Morning Report

Here's the updated Barn Army Kids Shoot film, but without the kids.  In other words, just the Barn Army.  The first go-around missed about a half-dozen people,  due to sloppy record keeping by my adjutant, Major Secretary Bunns (#28).  This time, every member has a number, which facilitates guessing who is who?  If the guesser happens to also be the guessee, then we have validation, otherwise I am not responsible if, say, Kim du Toit says he's number 34, when he's not.

The Kids Day at the Barn video is also updated.

Let's begin.

The King of France, and Archbishop of Canterbury is #22.  A lot of people ask, Hey Rodge, why did the King of France fight for the Yankees?  Well, it was a tough call.  The CSA had the legal, and slavery not withstanding, moral authority to secede. On the other hand, I was not native to any of the Confederate states, so I felt it was my obligation to fight, not so much for Lincoln, as against the Democrat party who were  undermining him at every corner. I hate liars and traitors, and Democrats were the traitors, during that conflict, not the Confederates.  Now here's something you didn't know.

After Lee surrendered his Army, at Appomattox, I met with Lincoln with this proposal.  We keep the vanquished South under arms, and restore full citizenship if they will join us in waging war on Democrats led by that traitorous scoundrel George B. McClellan.  Lincoln agreed, but was tragically assassinated before my commission as Chief General in Charge was made official. Nearly a century later, General George S. Patton, Jr., having read my memoirs, made the same proposal to Eisenhower in regard the German army, and filthy commies.   Little did he know that FDR's closest advisors were Democrats, and they squashed it.

Carry on.

Today's Best Ever

I am reduced to blogging with iPad. I'm sure that after several years one might get used to the bizarrely  structured key pad, but you don't have to.  I would pay the original $69, or whatever if  I had to.   You're welcome.

So, was I right?

FitBit Flex on a bike

Nobody knows how, but I get bike credit on Fitbit Flex.  Just did a circuit that is 1255 steps walking, and got 452 steps credit.  Yes, only a third of step credit, but much more vigerous exersize (very hilly).  Know what Mo Sup gets credit for on her bike,on the same course?  30 steps (walking to the bike and back).

Brand new 3T Disk Drive.  No root file.  Restore disks I bought from MS for this computer announce "This program will not run on this computer."

Windows XP don't get a look.

The only disk that works is the Linux startup disk, but "no root file."  This is exactly what my old 2T disk was doing wtf.  Stab me in the fkn liver.

Is there any way to give someone remote access to this POS?  Who can fix it?  We used to have three small computer shops in the area, but like phone booths they've disappeared.

By the by, MoSup at my suggestion watched RAKE (netflix) last night.  She suggested that it was a good man thing.  I love it.

Nobody move ....

Getting a little paranoid here.  My old HP running XP just out of the blue will not boot and all trace of Windows has disappeared.

Restoration

Oh My

This is actually fun. I went to the basement and dragged up three old computers from which I am piecing together my past computer life.  In the process I am updating Windows XP, which I will use with  Linux Mint as soon as my new 3T hard drive is delivered tomorrow. What I have are a pretty collections of XP tweaks and XP ca tools.  I also have retrieved most of my picture files, through 1999 anyway.  And how about Limbaugh calling the GOP a corrupt organization! Giddyup!

Two Trees

The auto-rotate drill in rotary wing flight training is where the instructor turns the engine off without warning.  The student pilot will then turn into the wind, which effect will keep the rotor blades turning while a safe descent and landing can be made.  So, my instructor at Army flight school, Fort Walters, Mineral Wells TX, cut my engine for the first time ever.  Snap! I turned into the wind; observed a landscape that consisted of level ground, with no obstructions other than some scrub.

Except.

Except for two trees, the middle of which I targeted.  When we were close enough that the instructor was convinced of my intention, he grabbed the cyclic, powered up, and took us back to the staging field.  His critique went something like;"What in all hell were you thinking?  An open stage and you decide to land betwixt two trees that offer scant clearance?"

Hey, I like adventure.  So my continuing computer problems are explained.  That I'm flying a piece of crap Microsoft computer only exacerbates inherent Windows problems.  I am the enemy of myself in all these, Lo, many blackouts over the years.  Not Linux's fault.  I love Linux.
