In contempt of congress - what do it mean?

Obama grants 11th-hour Holder executive privilege request The question on everyone's lips is — so what does it mean if he's found in contemptby vote of the full House?  Predictably the law is difficult for the layman to understand.  For instance (from Wikipedia) “ .Under this process, the procedure for holding a person in contempt involves only the chamber concerned. Following a contempt citation, the person cited is arrested by the Sergeant-at-Arms for the House or Senate, brought to the floor of the chamber, held to answer charges by the presiding officer, and then subjected to punishment as the chamber may dictate (usually imprisonment for punishment reasons, imprisonment for coercive effect, or release from the contempt citation). ” But then, under "Statutory Proceedings," and after this Wikipedia citation — This article contains weasel words: vague phrasing that often accompanies biased or unverifiable information. Such statements should be clarified or removed. (July 2008) we read: “ .Following a contempt citation, the presiding officer of the chamber is instructed to refer the matter to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia;[9] according to the law it is the "duty" of the U.S. Attorney to refer the matter to a grand jury for action. ” We have one instance of an Attorney General of the United States being held in contempt. Person Subcommittee/Committee Ultimate Disposition Janet Reno (Democrat), Attorney General 6 August 1998, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Documents in question were revealed during the impeachment of President Clinton. That would be a satisfactory outcome here, although I won't hold my breath. In the final analysis, Holder's and Obama's culpability in this effort (F&F) to stage events as a precursor to imposing gun control on us,  is manifestly unmistakable.

Voting with My Feet in Massachusetts “ One of the things I'll miss about Massachusetts is the revolving opportunity to vote against John Kerry every few years.  For a while, of course, I had the privilege of voting against Ted Kennedy as well, and if I had lived a few towns to the south, I could have voted against Barney Frank, too. There is something very satisfying about voting against extremely bad people.  The rest of the country gets to see our liberal hacks only in the news.  In Massachusetts, I proudly voted against them. In this state, you'll quickly lose your mind if you start looking for candidates you actually like.  On the rare occasions when Massachusetts elects a non-Democrat, such as Mitt Romney or Scott Brown, it is always Mitt Romney or Scott Brown.  Massachusetts has an astonishing number of execrable politicians, and no good ones.  Mitt Romney may or may not be a real conservative now, but he wasn't one back then.  To the degree that he is now a conservative, it happened after he got out of Boston. Scott Brown, of course, is the most liberal Republican in the Senate.  Technically, I voted for him, but in my heart I was voting against Martha Coakley, his opponent.  It was about 30 degrees that day ... The Humanity                                                                                            For the past, oh, maybe a month, my computer would just up and reboot about every 3-4 days.  Lately it's bee every 3-4 hours, and today was a nightmare.  Yes. Father's Day Father's Day 2012h Yesterday was maybe the best Father's Day ever since my own died in 1998.  The plan was to have crabs, but when we tried to get some- there were none to be had! Anywhere. This is a first, in my experience.  With the idea  that I wasn't going to have to cook squashed, I set about doing chicken wings, Italian sausage/peppers and onions, and pizza.  The real surprise was that for the first time since Christmas we were all together.  We had expected that only my daughter's family would be able to make it, but at the last minute Greep and Joe said they were coming.  Then, everyone showed up.  It was a perfect day, weather wise, and I most especially liked the card (roll-over) my granddaughter Lilly filled out (her words, mom's handwriting- BTW,it's  brown hair and brown eyes).  I'll remember this day.  Oh,  this is what MoSup gave me.  For all the hard work I did becoming a father.  Calculated at about 2 mintes, 38 seconds.

Congress has passed numerous laws pertaining to immigration and naturalization, including laws requiring the deportation of illegals. The role of the President, according to Article II, Sec. 3, is to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." Obama's refusal to execute Congress's immigration laws (or, for that matter, Congress's Defense of Marriage Act) is an impeachable offense. Article II, Sec. 4 states that the President "shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for... Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors." The deliberate failure to enforce valid immigration law and allow hordes of foreigners to live and work in the U.S. is, arguably, "treason," and doing so in an election year to appease Hispanic voters could certainly be considered "bribery." In theory, Obama could exercise his power in Article II, Sec 2. to "grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States" and offer a blanket pardon for all violators of immigration law. He's not doing that, because he'd certainly lose in November if he did. He needs a sharper, more cogent message with some memorable lines. I ain't walking my criticism back  This is beyond lacking objectivity. It signals that this journalist has passed into another plane.  One where blatant sycophancy is the given standard, and objectivity requires explication. Listen to him.  It never crosses his mind that he has fouled —   do journalists have a Hippocratic oath equivalent?  To observe some code of professionalism? To at least do no harm?  Goldberg's observation in spades. The second is HBO's apology for "putting George W. Bush's head on stake in 'Game of Thrones'"  This is more of the same.  Time Warner (HBO) are apologizing for slipping up.  Forgetting that some of their (paying) viewers actually voted for Bush, twice, and think he was by and large a decent man.  HBO's (indeed, Time Warner's) lock-step liberal  workplace culture means that thought never entered their brain holes.  I suspect that a memo, reminding them about cable viewers deciding how to cut expenses, ahem,  may have played some role in this mea culpa.
